Being an Inspiration (Becoming Christlike)

After going through a turmoil in my life, I rediscovered Christ again.
In 2005, I started a project called Gabay sa Biblia sa Radyo.
2006, I started another project called Preacher in Blue Jeans (PIBJ).
Btw, these are not my projects personally, I was just a part of these projects.
So when PIBJ started, I also started to do a lot of traveling. What’s so special about these traveling is that I get to be with this person who inspired me to become the person that I am today. Wherever he goes, I go. He goes to this place, I will be there. He goes to a province, I go with him. He goes to another country, guess what? I go with him as well.

A lot of people envy me because being with this guy is something other people would also love to be into.

The person I am talking about is my friend and my former boss, Bro. Bo Sanchez. The biggest blessing because of my being with him all those times where – I get to listen to him every time he gives a talk. Whenever we are alone, I get to pick his brain and even his habits. And for the next 2 years this is our arrangement. Until things changes.

Today, due to the pandemic that struct the whole world, The company where I am employed had to take drastic measures to make it to survive. Unfortunately, they had to let me go. Yup, I no longer work for Bro. Bo, but I am still part of the Catholic Community that he founded, the Light Of Jesus Family. But if there’s anything that that being with Bro. Bo did to me, (get ready guys):

  • You immerse yourself with a holy man and you get to emulate the same thing. I’m not holy, but I try to be one.
  • He’s a pescatarian. Only eats vegetable and fish. What do you think has become of me? For almost 10 years now I don’t eat pork, beef and chicken anymore. I take in a lot more of the fruits and vegetables. I don’t drink soda and take in a lot of water every day.
  • As an employee in one of his companies, I experienced first-hand his generosity in blessing all his employees. Guess what? To the best of my ability, I try to be generous as well.
  • He teaches people to save for their retirement. Today, I am able to build up my portfolio. And not only that – some companies started to invite me to teach their employees how to save.
  • He’s the author of more than 40 books already. I’m on my third and will be coming out with my fourth and have come out with three eBooks as well (go to my store).
  • He’s a best-selling and multiple award winning author. My books are all best sellers and the award winning part, I only had one so far (not bad for a newbee).
  • He’s a businessman and teaches his employees to earn more by doing side hustles so that they don’t rely on one income only. I have a small business that I lost when the pandemic happened. My being an author enables me to earn royalty from my book sales.
  • And many more.

Today, without even trying hard to inspire others, the very fruit of my own initiatives have brought about being able to inspire others and it started with Bro. Bo, the guy who inspired me to become the person that I am today.

What about you? What are the things you are doing to create an impact in other peoples lives? I’m not asking you to become a superman. One small act of kindness will actually go a long, long way. Here’s a little tip – start being kind to your self.

God bless you!
